Adventures of Russell

-Just want to say that I am thoroughly enjoying FF1. Play it again if you can.
-Guide says, find the desert south of the Ice Cave and use the levistone for a surprise.
-I find the desert and use the Levistone. A freaking AIRSHIP comes out of the sand.
-No story, no nothing on how that happened. Not even a reason at all. Squaresoft pls.
-Anyways, i can move around faster now. Problem with this Airship is that I can’t land on forests and mountains.
-The thing that irks me is that I can land on grasses BUT I can’t land on grass with patches on it. WTF!!
-Anyways, I go ride around my new airship and find new towns.
-Magic is now 45k. I’ve grinded 200k but as you can see, I can only buy 4 magic.
-Off to see the Citadel Of Trials.
-Like I said, I can’t land on certain areas so I have to freaking park the airship 2 mountains over and walk all the way to this tower.
-Fine, i get my cardio going.
-The Citadel was cool. A little sage saying ‘pass the trials’.
-I sit on the chair that teleports me to another maze (I just love mazes).
-Touching the proper transporter to get out of the cave.
-I have the guide so i was fine but then got magically lost.
-LOL!! Picked the wrong teleporter.
-Had to start the maze again.
-Finally got to the end of the maze. Chest gave me Rat’s Tail. All this rigamaroo for rat’s tail.
-Enemies in here were ok. Ran from the deadly monsters who come in groups.
-Funny story, fought a monster that kept casting paralyze and for some reason. Warrior and White Mage dies after getting hit twice.
-How you die with paralyze magic?
-Doesn’t make sense at all. I was left with useless Thief and Black Mage. Just kept using Magic from here.
-Right beside this Citadel is the Dragon’s Cave. New destination.
-There are many caves. I check the guide and it tells me to go in all of them.
-I read again and saw, 5 out of the 6 caves only has Money in them.
-I’m like, I ain’t greedy and just go to the real cave.
-This cave was weird. No enemies. Guide says, just keep moving south.
-I reach a door. This door has altars with two baby looking dragons.
-The small dragons says ‘light warriors, you are here. blah blah’
-I go north a bit and see a big black and red dragon.
-It’s freaking Bahamut and he’s FREAKING TALKING. He tells me ‘give me the rat’s tail’.
-I can only assume this is his aphrodisiac for the female dragons later.
-Bahamut then says ‘I see the struggle. Let me help’.
-Then BAM!! A white light showed up and my guys went through Maintenance Mode.
-They all look beefed up now. Woot!!
-My warrior became a Knight.
-White and Black Mage became mother freaking Wizard status.
-Thief became a Ninja (don’t know how that works but whatever)
-They even look cool. Thanks based Bahamut. He goes and says ‘Maintenance Mode works. Oatmeal Diet for lyfe. Struggle Struggle Struggle’.
-It’s like Bahamut was in my head or something.
-Anyways, I feel powerful. I feel like I can take on a strong monsters.
-I go around a patch on the side that the guide says ‘you are not ready for that island yet fewl’.
-No, I’m beefed up. My guys just went through maintenance mode.
-I go to that island (didnt save yet) and walked around for random encounters.
-I get one. It’s a freaking Golem. I’m like stone monster please. I got dis.
-I hit him with Warrior and he does 30hp damage. WTF!
-Golem hits Mage, 70% of life disappears. NOPE.
-I ran the freaking hell out of that fight. I ain’t strong enough. Even with all that transformation cutscene.
-Went back to Bahamut to give him a piece of my mind.
-Saved the game and ended for the night.
-The struggle continues…
